We do all kinds of fully integrated Smart Home Systems incorporating everything from audio & video media systems to climate, lighting, and window treatments. This includes indoor and outdoor spaces. Commercial and residential. We can do a single room theater to a whole house system involving everything. Every system is engineered on per-job bases based on what the client requires. There is nothing cookie-cutter.

On the residential side, we have done projects all over the Austin metro. On the commercial side, due to referral business, we have traveled to Dallas, Houston, El Paso, Oklahoma. Some commercial projects include Pinballz, Travis Association for the Blind, Austin Retina, Austin Visitors Center, Docs, Black Sheep Lodge, Haymaker, Freebirds, Waterloo Ice House, Harker Heights YMCA, REAP Financial, Endurance Host Gator, Cimarron Hills Country Club, Rustic Tap, Austin Country Club, Key Bar, Happy Chicks, BBGS, Pelons Tex Mex, 508 Tequila Bar, Truck Yard, Voltabox, Brightfire, BMP Specialist, IMES Engineering. Cafe Blue, Peace Lutheran Church, Whisler's Bar, Southern Oaks Church of Christ, Lone Star Oaks Wedding Venue.

The simplicity and ease of use! While the scope of a "smart home" can vary drastically the end game is always to make things easier. A smart home can tie everything into one app. Music, Lighting, Windows, Climate, etc. You can even create "scenes" so one button can trigger anything you want in the house simultaneously.

Yes. This is a skilled trade. This profession is a mix of construction and finesse. We are hanging TVs, installing speakers, retrofitting lines, etc. Additionally, we have to engineer and program everything. All aspects require training and qualified professionals. AV Connect is equipped to work closely with you, from designing and installing your system to teaching everyone in the house how to use it.

While AV Connect automation can be installed in any dwelling, the strength of your network and wiring are extremely important. The type of wiring recommended for a home automation system is called "structured wiring"-- a wiring foundation that provides an effective communications infrastructure for home networking and telecommunications. With new construction, plans can be made in advance so you can figure out where you want all of your Ethernet connections to be, and you may want to run additional cabling throughout your home for future expansion. With an existing home, the installer will want to minimize the number of holes that will need to be cut in the walls. But that doesn't mean you're severely limited if you have an existing home. There are many ways to wire an existing home, and because many MediaTech devices are wireless, you're not restricted by wires running in your walls. Your dealer can help you come up with the best solutions, depending on your situation. At the very least, you will need one or more Ethernet cables and an Internet connection.
